Instructional Computing Plan

The annual Instructional Computing Plan (ICP) allows academic departments to make proposals to ACMS for:

  • New software and hardware procurement
  • Instructional computing support for new classes
  • Instructional computing facility modifications to support changes in curriculum

How to Request New Software and Equipment

Departments prepare ICP requests in February for the following school year. Contact your department instructional coordinator, chair, and/or department business officer regarding ICP requests.

Many instructional computing resources are available through Course Information (Cinfo) requests. Examples of available resources include:

Cinfo requests for new resources that have not been approved through the ICP process may be referred back to the department for review, endorsement, or funding.

Integrated Digital Infrastructure Opportunities

ACMS collaborates with Integrated Digital Infrastructure (IDI) service to identify and support instructional needs in digital infrastructure, including:

  • High-speed network connections
  • High-performance computing
  • Colocation facilities
  • Storage/Cloud computing
  • Tools and training for the classroom
