Run Software Update to get the latest drivers.

open the file you want to print. For best results convert your file to a PDF document. Open the document and from the 'file' menu choose 'save as' then next to 'format' choose 'PDF'
Press 'command' P to get to the print dialog

beside 'paper size' select 'manage custom sizes'
In the new dialog box press the '+' to get a new paper size; the width _must_ be either 36 or 42 as these are the only size paper rolls we have. The length can be anything up to seven feet so you can print large long posters in landscape mode.

next to Printer select 'add a printer'
Make sure the selection next to 'protocol' is 'LPD'
next to 'print using' select 'select driver to use...'
in the search box type t1100, choose 'HP Design-jet T1100ps 44 in'
click 'add'

Start a web browser and navigate to print.ucsd.edu, click on ACMS remote printing.

Put in your username and password and select the printer queue you want
(it is strongly suggested you sent your job to the cplot1_np (for 36) or cplot1_np42 first to get a preview)
You will get a link in your email to the preview
(preview shortcuts http://ieng9/~lp/cplot1_np/ and http://ieng9/~lp/cplot1_np42/)

When you are satisfied with the preview go back to the remote print webpage and change the drop-down to cplot1_co36 or 42 for coated heavyweight paper or cplot1_sg for semigloss or hg for high gloss on the web page you had logged into previously.
Go back to your document and print it again without changing any of the settings.
