Courses.ucsd.edu is a central directory for course resources for all courses at UC San Diego, providing links to a website, Ted site, Library E-reserveres, and more.
As a service to future students considering taking a class, many departments have undertaken to collect syllabi from as many previous quarters' classes as possible.
If your department would like to participate as well, once you've collected these syllabi, just convert them to PDFs and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll post them to Courses.ucsd.edu
There are two things you can do to help us post these syllabi as quickly as possible:
Name your PDFs using the course's 6-digit section number - for example, 649451.pdf
If you are not sure what it is, go to courses.ucsd.edu, find the class, and note the section number used at the end of its address - for example:http://courses.ucsd.edu/coursemain.aspx?section=649451
If you are especially successful at collecting syllabi from quarters past, place each quarter's syllabi in a separate folder with that quarter's name.
You can then email all the folders at once, by creating a .zip file:
This creates a new file containing all the folders & files. Email that file to email@example.com.
Syllabuses named for their section number and separated by quarter can be posted within a business day. Other files will be posted as quickly as we have available time.
