Virtual Labs: Ubuntu

Use popular University-licensed software remotely on your personal Ubuntu computer from anywhere with a broadband Internet connection!


Make sure Ubuntu is up to date with all of the latest libraries and patches.

1. Install the VMware Horizon (with View) Client.

Follow VMware's instructions on how to download the client for Linux.

2. Add the Virtual Computing server.

Open VMware View once it has installed, and set the View Connection Server to virtuallab.ucsd.edu

3. Log in and access your Virtual Lab!

Enter your username and password in the next window and leave the Domain to AD. This is the same username and password you use to log into Webmail and TritonEd
