Setting up ACMS Remote Printing on your Mac OS X computer

  1. First connect to the remote print page (print.ucsd.edu > 'remote printing'), select the printer you want and log in.
  2. This will tell you will let you know which model of printer you will be using.logonremote_000.png
  3. Download one of the following files to your local computer, preferably under your home directory in library/printers:
  4. We'll then need to add a printer, so let's go to System Preferences.
  5. Next, click on Print & Fax

  6. Once you're in the Print & Fax dialog, click the + to add a printer.
  7. Select 'Other...' from the dropdown. Now locate the file you downloaded earlier and choose it.
  8. Click add and you are ready to print.
