Recharge Services

Notice: IWDC no longer accepting new recharge customers

As part of our continued effort to refine and reshape our strategic direction and core services, we plan to phase out and discontinue our web hosting and development recharge service.

Fortunately, we have partnered with the information technology staff at Jacobs School Office of Engineering Computing (OEC) to provide recharge website hosting and development going forward. The Office of Engineering Computing already successfully hosts and manages a large number of recharge web services, and they have the expertise and resources to ensure the same level of service ACMS currently provides. We will continue to support our existing customers until they have transitioned to OEC. If you are starting a new project, we recommend contacting Todd Clopine for your recharge web service needs.

Web Hosting

Website hosting for campus departments and other UCSD-affiliated organizations. 

$50/ month per site includes:

  • 5 GB disk space (maximum)
  • One virtual host name ( yourdeptname.ucsd.edu )
  • One FTP account
  • ASP.Net, PHP support
  • Servers housed in 24 hour, secure computer room with conditioned and emergency backup power. Nightly backups.

Payable by recharge (IFIS Index or "budget" number)

FREE hosting is available for:

Faculty home pages: check with your home department.  ACMS does not offer free sites for faculty pages or research.
