A University of California license for staff and faculty is available through a UC San Diego subscription.  The annual cost is $500 for an initial license, $250 per additional license, and $1000 for 3-10 copies in a single lab.

The free ArcGIS for Desktop 1-year Student License provides a 1-year term Single Use license for ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced and is limited to educational purposes (no commercial use allowed).

For access to a 1-year Student License, fill out the contact form with your: Name, Campus Email Address, and Student ID #.  ACMS Software Distribution will verify affiliation through a UCSD email address then send you an install code.

Students can request a new registration code after the 1 year license expires.

With the install code, visit the software download and installation instructions page.

Request new subscriptions and make subscription changes by email to Campus Software Distribution before the annual renewal date.

The UC San Diego subscription renews each February 1.
