Mathematica from Wolfram Research is mathematical computation software that integrates computation into complete workflows, moving seamlessly from initial ideas to deployed individual or enterprise solutions.

UC San Diego offers access on a per-seat basis to all eligible products offered by Wolfram Research and home-use licenses for use with courses. See three license options below.

Unlimited Student Use License

Available to: Students

Platforms: Macintosh Windows Linux

A license is available for students to install Mathematica on their home computers only.  Students must obtain UCSD affiliation through a UCSD email address.  UCSD Extension students are ineligible from participating in the Mathematica for Students program.

 

Mathematica Desktop Mathematica Online Wolfram Alpha Pro access

You must use your UCSD email address to request access and our account will be verified and approved by Maryam Sarkhoush. After approval and login, students will download software. Software access may take up to 24 hours after approval.

License

License is only meant for students to access Mathematica on their home-based machines, not in labs or classroom environments.

Wolfram Alpha Pro License

Available to: Faculty and Staff

Platforms: Macintosh Windows Linux

 

Faculty Access:

UCSD Mathematica Desktop Mathematica Online & Wolfram Alpha Pro

Staff Access:

Request a license for Wolfram Alpha Pro.

Include your full name and @ucsd.edu email in your contact details for verification purposes. Campus Software Distribution will approve the request based on Wolfram's notification. Approval may take up to 24 hours.

After approval you will be able to download software from the Wolfram site.
