Editing Room and Studio Policies

Hours of Operation

The Media Teaching Lab editing rooms and studios are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ID card swipe is required for access to the Communication front door between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on weeknights and all weekend.

You must be a UC San Diego undergraduate student enrolled in an approved regularly scheduled media production class. The Media Lab is an undergraduate facility. Graduate students and faculty may be supported on a case-by-case basis, but the instructional needs of the undergraduates are always given top priority. All students must visit the Media Teaching Lab office at Communication 225 to be entered into the system. This process may take up to 24 hours. Access to rooms may be determined by course enrollment. No exceptions to these policies will be made.
